Cider steamed clams with sausage, garlic, and greens

Ingredients

. 3 lbs clams, cleaned

. 1 750 ml bottle bone dry cider

. 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

. 1 sweet red onion, thinly sliced

. 1 cup sliced cooked pork sausage

. 2 bunch kale, chopped

. 1 T chopped rosemary

Directions

Clean clams well, being sure to discard any with open or broken shells; set aside.

Place 4 T oil or butter in a large pot over medium heat; add garlic and onion and sauté till soft. Add clams, kale, cider, and rosemary to pot and cook, covered till clams open; serve
