Turkey and poblano chili

Yields approx. 2 liters

Ingredients:

30ml canola oil

1/2 large onion, diced

2 poblano peppers, trimmed and diced

1 minced jalapeno pepper

1 diced sweet red pepper

1lb ground turkey

5ml minced garlic

10ml ground cumin

15ml chili powder

5ml paprika

2.5ml dried oregano

1 796ml tin whole canned tomatoes, crushed

1 398ml tin black beans, drained and rinsed

250ml corn kernels

500ml water

salt and pepper

Directions:

Heat oil in pan; add the onions, poblanos, jalapenos, and sweet peppers, sauté till soft; season with salt and pepper

Add ground turkey, break down with potato masher, and sauté

Add garlic and spices, sauté another 3-5 minutes

Add remaining ingredients, simmer 20-30minutes till thick

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary

Serve or chill and store if fridge or freezer for later use
